My name is Sara Manzoni, I’m the founder and CEO of Horizon Active.

We’re a sustainable activewear company. I emphasize company because we’re not just a brand, we control our own production.

This is how we get to ensure that sustainability, creativity, ethics and efficiency are always at the forefront of what we do.

We are sustainable because by managing our own internal production we avoid waste, not reduce it, avoid it. We reuse scrap fabric, we use only recycled or organic fabrics, and we can include new programs like repairing our customer’s clothes so they don’t end up in the trash.

Our values include creativity and ethics, because we care about the planet and the people on it. We believe we’re at our best when we can apply our knowledge and creativity, so we want to make sure who works with us can do that.

We’re looking for people who share these values and want to make a difference in the world.

Production Assistant

We’re currently hiring for our production assistant role.

In this role, you will start with cutting and sewing our activewear pieces with sergers and coverstitch machines. 

Then, as you build knowledge of our brand as well as our design challenges and strengths, you will contribute to creating new designs and develop prototypes to perfect the products for our customers. 

We’re a startup so we’re looking for people who want to bring their knowledge and give their input on how to shape the future of the company. 

This also means that your work and ideas will help shape the roles within the company that you will have the opportunity to grow into. 

Our location is in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Marketing and Sales Assistant

We’re currently hiring for our marketing and sales assistant role.

In this role, your goal is to expand our audience and sales by growing our social media presence and sales channels through creative marketing strategies.

You will cold call celebrities to ask them to join in on our mission and as you build knowledge of our brand you will contribute to creating image and video content.

We’re a startup so we’re looking for people who want to bring their knowledge and give their input on how to shape the future of the company. 

This also means that your work and ideas will help shape the roles within the company that you will have the opportunity to grow into. 

Our location is in Gowanus, Brooklyn. You might need to come in sometimes or meet us somewhere else in the city, but this is mostly a remote role (or fully remote if you’re not in NY).
